Original glazed ceramic sculpture in the Japanese RAKU technique. Entitled "Lélahelle V".
The metal parts of the piece (Headband and Wings) are cut from iron using a thermal lance at 3000°.
Raku, an abbreviation of the Japanese term raku-yaki 楽焼, is the result of a glazing technique developed in Japanese ceramics in the 16th century. A more solid chamotte stoneware is used because the pieces have to withstand large temperature variations.
This elegant piece (H 155x28x28 cm) is an original and unique creation by Ossabb. It is sold with its steel base.
Each piece will be accompanied by a magnificent catalogue of Ossabb's work.
