Artiste : Millet Brigitte

Very original sculptural work, in glazed ceramic, in the Japanese RAKU Technique. Entitled "apan - Small Bridge and Two Geïshas".

Raku, an abbreviation of the Japanese term raku-yaki 楽焼, is the result of a glazing technique developed in Japanese ceramics in the 16th century. A more solid chamotte stoneware is used because the pieces have to withstand large temperature variations.

This very elegant piece (H 30 cm W 44 cm D 19 cm) is an original and unique creation by Brigitte MILLET from the Atelier PIQUIFOU.
